  • The Undergraduate Business Council’s Student Affiliates: The Undergraduate Business Council (UBC) is a student group that advocates for, supports and represents all undergraduate students in the School of Business. Additionally, UBC is the umbrella organization for all KU School of Business funded clubs. The UBC works closely with the administration to address concerns, propose improvements, and provide a student perspective. UBC has hosted Night Out With the Leaders for years as a way for student leaders to further connect with recruiters the night before the career fair. Student leaders include club presidents, club members, UBC committee members and UBC executive members.
  • MSP Scholars Program: Recognizing the importance of professional networking, Night Out With the Leaders provides an opportunity for diverse students to create and expand professional relationships with employers while learning more about potential future employment opportunities. The MSP Scholars Program (MBSP) is a unique scholarship and mentoring program that seeks to create opportunities for students to excel academically, professionally and personally. Through the implementation of intentional interactions, this program caters to holistic student development. The ultimate goal of this program is to retain and graduate underrepresented students, and to connect them with post-graduate experiences that lead them to a successful career of their choice.
  • Career Forward Network: Career Forward Certificate earners accomplish over 7 hours of research into professional search etiquette and best practices. These students dedicate additional time and attention to their active job or internship search. Certificate earners come from all business school majors and participate in a semester-long program in small groups led by trained student peers. Previous earners of the certificate, on average, apply to double the number of positions, receive double the amount of interviews, and spend 3 hours more per month on their search than their School of Business peers. By learning from one another, guest speakers, and trained Leads, Career Forward Certificate earners are committed to landing the dream opportunity and positioning themselves for success in the job market. Looking for folks who set, persevere, and complete professional goals? These are your students, and potentially, your future employees.
  • ePlatform: The ePlatform lifts Jayhawks to professional excellence with five Flight Patterns including Core Skills Development and Certifications, Career Planning and Networking, Student Leadership and Engagement, Experiential Learning and Global Mindset. The Platform for Professional Excellence aims to provide KU School of Business undergraduate students with additional opportunities for involvement through a variety of events, certifications and workshops. This increased student involvement expands students’ foundational knowledge, elevates resumes, and gives Business Jayhawks a competitive edge in the job market. Those who earn 400 ePoints receive a Captain’s badge, while those who earn 500 or more ePoints earn the Dean’s Badge. These students have greatly surpassed the requirements in these areas and are considered the top performers in the eProgram, equipped with professional skills to enter the job market. Prepare to engage with these exceptional achievers.
