Business student honored with scholarship

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

LAWRENCE — Each year the Academic Award Program honors students studying accounting or finance. This year John Zecy, University of Kansas business student and business manager for Rock Chalk Revue, is a recipient.

"It is a big honor for Zecy to be named one of the 2012 Financial Executives International Scholars," said Catherine Shenoy, director of MBA programs and director of Applied Portfolio Management.

The award is based on merit and recipients must show academic performance, evidence of leadership potential and service to the college and community. Zecy and the other scholars were honored April 9 during the Education Night dinner at the Marriott in Overland Park, Kan.
