Application info

No, students starting the full-time MBA program must begin the program during the fall semester.

It is preferred that incoming MBA students have at least two years of work experience; however, the School of Business recognizes the value of students with a variety of backgrounds. We expect our less experienced students to present strong academic and leadership credentials in their applications.

Complete files are reviewed on a bi-weekly basis from January until June. The entire process typically takes two weeks, and you will receive an official admission offer via e-mail.

In most instances, the GMAT is required for admission to all programs. Discuss the option of GMAT waivers with your admissions representative. All MBA/MS scholarships require the GMAT for consideration.

No, you are not required to have your test scores at the time of applying to the MBA program; however, your file will not be reviewed until we have it.

Tuition and fees change annually, usually in July. Current tuition and fee estimates are available at affordability.ku.edu/costs.

International students

May 1 is the deadline for international student applications.

The TOEFL or IELTS exam is required of all international applicants.

Satisfactory scores on the standardized tests like the TOEFL, IELTS-Academic, or PTE may demonstrate varying levels of English proficiency. Depending on your level, AEC coursework may be required for admission to KU. Scores must be sent to KU by the testing agency and must be less than two years old at the time that Graduate Admissions processes the application.

The full-time MBA program in Lawrence does not offer classes for non-degree seeking students.

Your admission offer is valid for one year after the term you have been admitted to. We will hold your application materials for that time. When you are ready to enroll, you will need to reapply (online application and fee only) for that term.
