Graduation

The School of Business graduation recognition ceremonies are formal events that honor graduating undergraduates, master's and doctoral students.

Spring 2024 Recognition Ceremonies

Spring 2024 School of Business Graduation Recognition Ceremonies
11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11
Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena
1550 Allen Fieldhouse Drive
Lawrence, KS 66045

Important changes to School of Business ceremonies this spring

Allen Fieldhouse, which previously has hosted the school's spring ceremonies, will not be available in May because of renovations being made to the venue. The School of Business will have two ceremonies at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena in order to accommodate and recognize all of its undergraduate and graduate degree candidates.

To ensure adherence to the arena's capacity, tickets will be required for all guests at the KU School of Business' Spring 2024 Graduation Recognition Ceremonies. We anticipate that each degree candidate will be allotted up to four guest tickets. Additional guest tickets may be available, contingent upon the number of attending degree candidates.

More information about the ticketing process and how degree candidates can register for one of the two ceremonies will be provided after spring break. Degree candidates will receive an email, and information will be posted to this page.

Other information about how to prepare

School of Business degree candidates must wear a cap and gown to participate. Master's and doctoral students should bring their hoods.

All undergraduate and Master of Accounting degree candidates, regardless of their attendance at recognition ceremonies, will need to complete the school's Graduation and Destination Survey. Each semester, the school announces via email when the survey becomes available.

The University of Kansas Commencement is a less formal, all-university graduation event for students held outdoors in David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium each May. The "walk down the Hill" is a fun tradition where students often bring balloons or decorate caps and gowns.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend University of Kansas sponsored events. If you or a guest require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this event, please contact the School of Business at bschoolgraduation@ku.edu.
