From the Dean

Hello, and welcome to the University of Kansas School of Business.

As the 12th dean of the KU School of Business, I can tell you that this is an exciting and important time for our school:

  • The number of first-time freshmen in our school is at an all-time high.
  • We introduced a business analytics major and concentration in fall 2016.
  • Our Master of Accounting and MBA programs continue to receive national recognition.

Plus, we now have Capitol Federal Hall — a state-of-the-art, 166,500-square-foot facility — to call home. This new building was designed to foster collaboration and innovation and sets the stage for our school to continue moving business forward.

At the KU School of Business, our students have access to the people and resources to help them succeed both academically and professionally. KU business students learn from faculty who regularly publish in top academic journals and serve as experts in national media. Outside of the classroom, our study abroad programs prepare students for a changing global business environment, and our Business Career Services team provides connections to internships and full-time job opportunities.

Most importantly, being a business Jayhawk means tapping into a powerful network across the world. Our alumni, friends, and industry partners play significant roles in allowing the KU School of Business to invest, innovate, and grow.

I encourage you to take a look around our website to learn more about our programs and opportunities to connect with us.

Rock Chalk!
