Early Audit Planning (ACCT 543)

Eric Mulchaey of Ary Roepcke Mulchaey discusses the information gathered in initial audit planning and how auditors use this information to plan the audit. 

Overseeing the assurance department, Eric has a wealth of experience in servicing clients across many different industries and sizes. Eric's clients include healthcare, retail, real estate development, logistics service providers, hospitality, and not-for-profit entities. Eric's experience allows him to provide each client with the expertise they require. Eric also specializes in providing financial reporting consulting to publicly traded Fortune 500 companies across the United States in the Employee Benefit plan arena. As both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, Eric brings a unique skill set that goes beyond the basics.

Each year, Eric is a guest lecturer at Kansas University, where he discusses the importance of understanding a client's business and industry, as well as audit risk assessment and audit planning to over 100 undergraduate students.

Prior to joining AryRoepckeMulchaey, Eric spent five years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he concentrated in the financial services division of the assurance practice and led multi-billion dollar mutual fund engagements, merger and acquisition audits and international service corporation audits. Eric received his Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.
