Student Information and Application

The primary purpose of the Leadership Challenge is to help students develop their leadership potential through a formal program developed by the Business and Engineering Career Services Advisory Councils, and sponsored by many of KU's corporate partners. The event has been designed to highlight the importance of leadership skills to students and to their future employers and allows students an excellent opportunity to network with employers in a variety of industries. Denny Faurote, a professional speaker, will lead the event. Students and employers are given information on leadership as well as provided with interactive tasks designed to promote learning while networking.

I live in the residence halls/scholarship halls and they are closed until classes start.  Where will I stay during the Leadership Challenge?

Campus residence and scholarship halls typically charge a per day fee to allow students access to their rooms prior to the start of the academic year when Leadership Challenge occurs.  If you are accepted to Leadership Challenge and you choose to stay in your residence/scholarship hall room during the event, it is your responsibility to (1) pay for any fees associated with staying in the residence/scholarship halls and (2) talk to your Hall Director to make arrangements to gain access.  Fees vary depending on the hall in which you live.
