Douglas Whitman's research interests are in the areas of professional advertising, jurisprudence and negotiation. He has published many articles dealing with advertising by professionals, as well as articles dealing with commercial speech, antitrust, products liability, negotiable instruments and other topics.
Whitman's articles have been published in such places as the The University of Pittsburgh Law Review, The Southwestern Law Journal, The New Mexico Law Review, and The American Business Law Journal. His articles have been republished in The Advertising Law Anthology, The Corporate Counsel's Annual, The American Trial Lawyer's Law Letter, and The Personal Injury Deskbook. He has also written numerous articles dealing with the law for The Advertising Compliance Service, The Products and Services Compliance Report and The Kansas City Star.
