Biography

Elizabeth Karr grew up in a rural community north of Emporia, Kansas, and moved to Lawrence in 2013 after completing her associate degree from Butler Community College. She has a twin sister who is a Kansas State University graduate, so they both love a good Sunflower Showdown!

Being a transfer student herself, Karr enjoys working with prospective and current transfer students. Currently, she is working on her master's degree in Higher Education Administration at KU and is expected to graduate in May 2021.

Interests and hobbies  

Outside of work, Karr enjoys playing kickball with the local kickball community and spending time with her dog. She likes to stay active and is an avid runner. Her dog is her favorite running partner. She also enjoys traveling to new countries, exploring different cultures, and trying new foods. In January 2019, Karr got to go on her dream vacation to South Africa and cage dive with sharks!
