Business school to host Marketing Night

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas School of Business will host a week of events to promote the field of marketing and its career opportunities for students.

Throughout Oct. 6-10, the school will host guest speakers during classes, and on Tuesday, Oct. 7, KU Marketing Club will host Marketing Night at 6 p.m. at the Kansas Union Ballroom. Scott Williams, chief marketing officer of Cabela’s and KU alumnus, will be the keynote speaker.

After the keynote address, students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from local and national companies. Companies attending include Cabela’s, Cerner, Great Plains Media, Hallmark, InTouch Solutions, Netchemia, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Revisin Creative Agency, Service Management Group, Target, The World Company, VML and Union Pacific.
