Eric Weisbrod, associate professor of accounting, and Matt Peterson, accounting doctoral candidate, are co-authors of research that shows social media may be a surprisingly reliable source for stock tips — if you know where to look. Users tend to follow the advice of other users making money. The article examines sell-side analysts’ stock recommendation revisions on Twitter, before the platform was renamed X.

Faculty member Patrick Downes worked with doctoral student Sareum "Ella" Lee on a study about the practice of scheduling shift workers into times and places to conduct their work.
Study: Multinational enterprises should choose between two colocation strategies
Professor Chang Hoon Oh collaborated with Jukyeong Han, an assistant professor at McMaster University and a former doctoral student at KU, along with Minyoung Kim, on a paper to help managers answer whether multinational enterprises should repeatedly colocate with the same competitors across multiple countries or with diverse competitors with less repetition.

Professor Chan Li co-authored a study with Patience Constance, who earned a doctorate in accounting from KU, and Clive Lennox, examining whether PCAOB inspection reports are useful for signaling the risk of misstatements in future periods and the extent to which different types of audit deficiencies predict future misstatements.
