Biography —
Arvind Tripathi received his Ph.D. in Business Administration with specialization in Management of Information Systems from the University of Connecticut. He has also been a faculty member at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and the University of Washington, Seattle, and a visiting professor at the Aalto University, Finland.
His current research interests are in the areas of digital markets, online communities, open innovation and social media. His research is interdisciplinary and has been published or forthcoming in several academic journals in Information Systems, Marketing, Management and Computer Science and Operations Management areas, such as Management Information Systems Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Retailing, Research Policy, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, and many others.
Tripathi has organized international conferences and workshops and served on program committees of many international associations. He has served on the editorial boards of several prestigious academic journals such as, POMS, MIS Quarterly, Decision Sciences and Decision Support Systems.
