Minor in entrepreneurship


Program information

Develop your entrepreneurial competency, build foundational entrepreneurship skills and deepen your entrepreneurship knowledge with coursework designed to foster a problem-solving mindset. The minor provides an in-depth exploration of the field of entrepreneurship.

The minor is a powerful pairing with any major and can be applied across all career paths. 

Forthcoming changes to entrepreneurship minor

Effective fall 2023, requirements for the minor in entrepreneurship will change, and the minor will be open to all undergraduate students at KU.

  • Any new student who enrolls at KU beginning fall 2023 will be subject to the new requirements.
  • Any student who was enrolled at KU before fall 2023 may opt in to the new requirements or continue with the current requirements.
  • Questions about eligibility should be directed to your academic advisor.

Entrepreneurship minor students are not eligible for the certificate in entrepreneurship.

  • ENTR 450: Advanced Entrepreneurship
  • ENTR 490: Social Entrepreneurship

Electives

Choose 2 from the following options:

Credit hour requirements

  • Coursework consists of three required courses and two electives for a total of 15 credit hours.

  • Beginning fall 2023, coursework consists of six courses for a total of 18 credit hours.
