Biography

Detelina Stoyanova teaches Foundations of Business Analytics, Data Visualization in Business, and the Analytics Capstone course for the Master of Science in Business Analytics program at KU.

Stoyanova’s area of expertise is in the field of computational science. Her research is focused on data visualization and data analysis techniques to quantify shape patterns obtained from 3D-scan data. She has taught at the undergraduate level at UNC Charlotte’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Prior to joining KU in spring 2021, she was a senior data scientist at Lowe’s Companies Inc., working on assortment optimization algorithms and recommender systems.
