Biography

Madelyn Mueller grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and came to KU as a third-generation Jayhawk. As an undergrad, she got involved in multiple opportunities KU had to offer: Sorority & Fraternity Life, Student Involvement & Leadership, and volunteering in the Lawrence community. Through these opportunities, Mueller learned working with college students was her true passion.

She earned her master's degree in Higher Education Administration and has been an academic advisor for multiple years. Before working in the School of Business, she advised in the Undergraduate Advising Center at KU and worked in Kansas Athletics as a learning assistant with student-athletes.

Interest and hobbies

Outside of work, Mueller is actively involved in her church in Olathe, Kansas. People can typically find her cheering on the Jayhawks at sport events or at a local coffee shop in the Kansas City area with her husband. She enjoys traveling and spent time in multiple countries in Asia, including Thailand, India and China. One of her life goals is to travel to each continent (excluding Antarctica).
