Maria Medlyn

Maria Medlyn was born in Rochester, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota, Morris, for her undergraduate degree in psychology. Medlyn is passionate about student services and was a tutor, group tutor, and teaching assistant. She was an academic advisor at the same university the year following her graduation.

Medlyn received her master’s degree in counseling psychology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. While pursuing her master’s degree, she was a violence prevention peer educator at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and provided counseling for students at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.  She is passionate about supporting student mental health.

Interests and hobbies

Medlyn enjoys reading books, journaling, running, drum corps shows, and weightlifting. She loves pets and has guinea pigs, a cat, an axolotl, and fish.
