BHP students are required to maintain the highest possible level of academic achievement and be a model of excellence for fellow students.

Professional excellence

BHP students are required to maintain the highest level of professional and intellectual responsibility and integrity as represented by the KU School of Business Positive Code of Conduct: Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Self-Esteem, Professional Integrity, Equity, Compassion and Teamwork (R.E.S.P.E.C.T.).

Community

BHP students are encouraged to take full advantage of the community of honors students and faculty by participating in special events, advising services and experiential learning opportunities.

Leadership

BHP students are provided unique, valuable opportunities. In return, BHP students are expected to contribute positivity to the University of Kansas and School of Business. By assuming leadership, BHP students should make a positive impact on the quality of the KU student experience.

Lifelong learning

BHP students are encouraged to embrace education as a lifetime endeavor by providing a vibrant community of undergraduates, faculty and staff with shared learning values and by fostering intellectual risk-taking in a safe environment.

Global competence

BHP students are encouraged to take advantage of the many study abroad opportunities through honors and non-honors programs.

Research

BHP students are encouraged to engage their intellectual curiosity by seeking learning opportunities beyond required course work. Research in their business disciplines and related areas provides opportunity to demonstrate that intellectual curiosity.
