1. Apply online
Complete your application through BusinessCAS. Select the KU MS in Business Analytics program as a designated program.
Applications open on September 30, 2024.
2. Upload documents

- Unofficial transcripts
- Applicants must show aptitude in quantitative analysis. This could be able to could be either from completing an undergraduate degree with a strong quantitative component (e.g., in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or the physical sciences), or taking intermediate/advanced courses in business, computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
3. Submit official transcripts
Official transcripts must be submitted to KU Graduate Admissions either by secure electronic transcript service via graduateadm@ku.edu or postal mail to:

4. Submit GMAT or GRE scores
Take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test. It’s not necessary to submit scores before beginning the application process. Your file will be reviewed as soon as we receive your scores. Register for the exam at mba.com. Online options are available at GMAT Online and GRE General Test at Home.
KU GMAT/GRE waiver for the M.S. in Business Analytics program
A GMAT/GRE waiver may be granted to students who have earned or will earn a degree in business, engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, physical science, economics, or a similar quantitative discipline. Applicants must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and have earned a B or better in all quantitative courses taken (e.g., courses in mathematics, statistics, analytics, data science, programming, engineering, or similar disciplines). A GMAT/GRE waiver does not guarantee admission into the M.S. in Business Analytics program. The waiver is contained within the BusinessCAS application under “Program Questions." You must provide all required documents for your waiver to be processed and considered. You may wait for a waiver decision before submitting the application and paying the appropriate fees.
5. Submit recommendations
On the online application, enter email addresses for two recommenders. After you’ve submitted your application, we’ll send them an email requesting they complete a recommendation form for you.
6. Submit English proficiency for non-native speakers
Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proof of English proficiency before gaining admission to a graduate program. Learn more about the KU English proficiency requirements for admission through Graduate Studies.
