Year 1: (build the) NEST

Year 1 EY Business Professional Development Program courses: BUS 110 + BUS 120

  • Focus on building your network, home and support
  • Identify resources and key partners for your journey
  • Find student groups or organizations of interest

Year 2: HATCH (a plan)

Year 2 EY Business Professional Development Program courses: BUS 210 + BUS 230

  • Recognize two to three potential academic and career plans of interest
  • Find opportunities to deepen curiosities and answer unknowns
  • Identify knowledge/skill gaps, and build a plan to address them

Year 3: EXTEND (your wings)

Year 3 EY Business Professional Development Program badge goal and course:Lift badge + BUS 310

  • Try professional experiences around areas of interest; attain a BUS 310-satisfying internship
  • Gain leadership opportunities or serve in a role of expertise somewhere of relevance
  • Reflect and refine your interests and future goals

Year 4: SOAR (into the future)

Year 4 EY Business Professional Development Program course and goal: BUS 410 + Graduation

  • Leverage remaining time and people on campus to maximize resources
  • Build rapport with the School of Business as a network for a lifetime (mentorship, classes, etc.)
  • Attain a first role that meets individualized professional values
  • Complete KU's First Destination Survey to report your post-graduation status, giving future Jayhawks insights into their potential future plans
