Organizations can choose to have a table with a representative or two to talk with KU Business students in between classes in the Anderson Family Atrium of Capitol Federal Hall.
Tables can have food, giveaways or information about career opportunities. Typically, tabling runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., but the time frame is flexible.
Interested organizations should contact Cheryl Webb, business relations coordinator, at cwebb@ku.edu or 785-864-8045.
KU Business student organizations often are looking for connections with companies to host speakers at club meetings, to arrange company visits, or to pursue fundraising opportunities or organization sponsors.
Collaborating with students in this capacity fosters valuable connections that prove mutually beneficial.
Faculty frequently seek out classroom speakers to discuss specific topics related to their course. Guest speakers are instrumental in enhancing the educational experience, offering students real-world perspectives, and bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Organizations can submit recruiting activities, such as online info sessions, scholarships, diversity programs or webinars, for inclusion in the School of Business calendar and in Business Professional Development Services' student-facing newsletter.
Send events directly to Cheryl Webb, business relations coordinator, at cwebb@ku.edu.
Employer representatives can indicate on the Business Professional Development Services employer interest form if they would like to receive the office's "Opportunities to Engage" emails.
A limited number of emails each year will provide information about employer-supported career programs (such as roundtables, panels, mock interviews, mixers, etc.), classroom speaking opportunities, and forums for engaging with student groups.
The KU School of Business Impact Programs team hosts several programs featuring outside speakers.
Interested organizations should contact Shu Tosaka, Impact Programs director, for more information.
The KU Business Mentoring Program matches current KU Business students with industry professionals for a six-month period of interaction.
Mentoring opportunities are open to KU School of Business graduates and to other industry professionals from all career levels.
Mentors should expect to meet with their mentee(s) a minimum of six times (at least once per month for 45-60 minutes), working together to choose suitable meeting times. Serving as a mentor is a wonderful way for School of Business alumni and friends to give back and engage with the school.
Questions can be directed to Kim Mueller, KU Business Mentoring Program coordinator, at businessmentoring@ku.edu.
The KU Alumni Association offers the Jayhawk Career Network platform for employers to share job leads with KU graduates instead of current KU students.
