Career and Internship Fairs

Each year, the Business Professional Development Program hosts the Business and Accounting Career Fairs and the Business Internship Fair featuring companies from across the nation eager to hire KU Business students.
Business students and employers mingle at the Business Career Fair.



Other ways to get involved

  • Career Forward Certificate Program

    Designed for KU Business students actively seeking an internship or full-time position to receive intentional and interactive experiences in career development and readiness.

  • KU Business Mentoring Program

    The KU Business Mentoring Program sources and matches mentors to students based on interests, skills, and areas of curiosity. Students must have at least six months remaining before graduation to be eligible to participate.

  • Business Professional Development student ambassadors

    Professional Development student ambassadors promote and support Business Professional Development events and programming, welcome employers and offer crucial feedback from the student's perspective.

  • Suitable

    Using the Suitable app, students can track activities, eligible event attendance and certifications to earn points required for graduation, as well as badges.

  • Peer mentor positions

    Consider becoming a peer mentor in the Business Professional Development Program. You'll help mentor students as they navigate courses and activities in the program. Peer mentor positions can be found on the Work at KU website.

Request a Business Professional Development representative

KU students, staff or faculty can request a workshop or guest speaker from the Business Professional Development Program to incorporate in an event they're planning.

Exceptional Awards

The Business Professional Development Program's Exceptional Awards seek to recognize the top interns, professional developers and internship sites each year.

Applications open each summer, and the recognition ceremony is held during the first week of the fall semester.

Plan for about 15–30 minutes to complete each nomination.

Nominations for 2025 awards will be accepted from July 14 to Aug. 1 and will be evaluated based on excellence, alignment with core values and demonstrated best practices.

Exceptional Awards Celebration​

Winners will be honored at an in-person event at Capitol Federal Hall with networking, refreshments and Jayhawk photo opportunities.
