MBA/Doctor of Pharmacy (MBA/Pharm.D.)

Program information

The University of Kansas MBA/Pharm.D. is a joint degree program between the KU Schools of Business and Pharmacy. The program brings together two existing degree programs and offers each in a joint capacity. All dual MBA/Pharm.D. students will engage in a health care-focused project that fulfills two APPE rotations. Working with an interprofessional team of your classmates, you provide solutions for Kansas health care organizations.

Health care-focused rotation

MBA/Pharm.D. students will join an MBA cohort in the fall during the sixth year of the Pharm.D. curriculum. Dual MBA/Pharm.D. students will complete a longitudinal health care-focused project that will satisfy two of nine required advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPEs). Dual MBA/Pharm.D. students will graduate at the end of August, extending their program length by only three months to earn both a Pharm.D.and an MBA from the University of Kansas.
