Undergraduate-to-MBA programs

The KU School of Business offers a pathway to an MBA for students in the School of Engineering and the Department of Health Information Management.

MBA and undergraduate engineering bridge program

The KU MBA and undergraduate engineering bridge program allows students to begin taking MBA courses in their senior year of the engineering undergraduate program. Bridge program students can earn a Bachelor of Science from the School of Engineering and an MBA from the School of Business in five years.

A good fit for the program is a student who is on-pace to graduate, prepared for an academically rigorous senior year and meets the admission requirements of the MBA program. Students will work with their engineering and MBA advisors to craft an academic plan that meets requirements for both programs.

  • Apply by July 1 before fall semester of senior year

Why should engineering students get an MBA?

Business skills aren’t just for business people. The KU MBA introduces students to concepts like data visualization, leadership and business analysis that lead to higher salaries for engineering and IT professionals, along with other high-demand roles.

Students also participate in professional career coaching, network with business alumni and local leaders and gain real-world experience that can unlock opportunities throughout their careers.
