The KU School of Business will celebrate the week with programming from Nov. 12-14, 2025.

2025 Global Entrepreneurship Week

Join KU's Entrepreneurship team as it celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week from Nov. 12-14. The week recognizes the entrepreneurial spirit around the world and gives students at the KU School of Business opportunities to engage and connect with entrepreneurs in the community. This year's programming includes panels, a customer discovery competition and a tour of startups within the Lawrence community.

Global Entrepreneurship Week Day 1 — Wednesday, Nov. 12

12:15-1 p.m. Tim Barton Colloquium, 1010 Capitol Federal Hall

Join us as we celebrate failing as learning and hear from entrepreneurs who have failed in their efforts to build something great. Enjoy food and drinks while you learn and network.

School of Business students will receive 10 professional development points for attending.

Global Entrepreneurship Week Day 1 — Wednesday, Nov. 12

5–6:30 p.m. Tim Barton Colloquium, 1010 Capitol Federal Hall

Feeling stuck in your career, studies, or creative life? Join us for a one-night, 90-minute seminar that introduces the Unstuck mindset — treating your life as an evolving experiment. Through interactive exercises and group reflection, you'll learn to reframe limiting stories, design small bets and apply entrepreneurial tools to navigate uncertainty and build momentum. Topics include overcoming impostor syndrome, experimenting with career paths and building meaningful connections. Whether you're launching something new or simply seeking clarity, Unstuck offers practical strategies and a supportive community to help you move forward.

School of Business students will receive 10 professional development points for attending.

Global Entrepreneurship Week Day 2 — Thursday, Nov. 13

9 a.m.–5 p.m. Dana and Sue Anderson Family Atrium, 1000 Capitol Federal Hall

Learn how to conduct customer discovery using AI to support research, and best practices for communication information effectively in a poster format. 

Students will then apply this knowledge to their own venture by creating a poster, which will be displayed and judged by student peers. Details regarding awards will be discussed at workshops. All qualified entries in the Jayhawk Discovery Challenge poster competition will receive a $250 participation grant. School of Business students will receive 20 professional development points for participating in the competition.

Register to attend the Jayhawk Discovery Challenge Competition by Nov. 5

Interested students should attend one workshop on either Tuesday, Oct. 21 or Tuesday, Oct. 28. Attendees will need to bring their laptop, and they will earn 10 professional development points for attending the workshop.  

 The workshop will outline:

  • The requirements for the poster competition
  • How to conduct customer discovery
  • How to use AI to support your research
  • How to design a poster that communicates your findings.

Global Entrepreneurship Week Day 3 — Friday, Nov. 14

8:45 a.m.–3 p.m. Downtown Lawrence

Join us for a walking tour of Mass. Street, peek behind the curtain and hear from the founding entrepreneurs of some of Lawrence’s most frequented spots and the resource partners who support them behind the scenes. The tour will include a lunch during the day at a restaurant on Mass. Street. 

Additional details will be provided upon registration. 

School of Business students will receive 20 professional development points for participating.
