Joint Degrees
KU School of Business currently offers four dual degree programs, which allow you to earn your MBA full time while specializing in a second discipline. Students interested in these programs must apply to both the School of Business and the other applicable school. Classes for dual degrees are held at the Lawrence campus.

Career-Specific Joint Degree Programs:
MBA/Doctor of Medicine (MBA/MD)
The purpose of this joint degree program is to meet the demand for business courses in the MD program and prepare doctors to run their future practices or take on leadership roles in hospitals with business efficacy. The program will be offered on the Lawrence Campus and will consist of 34 credit hours of MBA coursework. Students will complete the MBA portion of the coursework in one academic year. Students who intend to apply to the MD program may be provisionally admitted to the dual MBA/MD program and complete the MBA courses in one year, as they strengthen their application to the MD program.

MBA/Juris Doctor (MBA/JD)
via KU School of LawThe objective of this program is to combine into four years of study the three-year J.D. program offered by the School of Law and the two-year MBA program offered by the School of Business. This program gives you an opportunity to train in the convergent fields of law and business management, particularly for those intending to engage in corporate law practice, or to enter business using law training as background.
MBA/Doctor of Pharmacy (MBA/Pharm.D.)
via KU School of PharmacyDual MBA/Doctor of Pharmacy students will join an MBA cohort in the fall during the sixth year of the Pharm.D. curriculum. Dual MBA/Pharm.D. students will complete a longitudinal health care-focused project that will satisfy two of nine required advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPEs). Dual MBA/Pharm.D. students will graduate at the end of August, extending their program length by only three months to earn both a Pharm.D. and an MBA from the University of Kansas. Admission in this program is restricted to students currently in the Pharm.D. program.

MBA/Petroleum Management (MBA/PM)
via KU School of EngineeringWhile this program is specially designed to meet requirements of active duty military officers, the program is open to any student who meets the admission requirements. Applicants to the program are generally pre-screened by the U.S. Navy.
MBA/Architecture
The MBA/M.Arch program is designed particularly for those students intending to pursue management opportunities in architecture, development or construction. The MBA/M.Arch program requires four years of study, a year less than it would take to separately earn each degree. Upon completion of this dual degree program, you will earn an MBA from the KU School of Business and a master’s in architecture from the KU School of Architecture, Design and Planning.
