The Dean’s Business Fellows Program is a selective, cohort‑based experience for incoming KU Business freshmen who are ready to grow faster and aim higher.

Business Fellows participate in an enhanced first‑year curriculum, hands‑on learning experiences and a close‑knit peer community that together sharpen critical thinking, collaboration and leadership from day one.

The Dean’s Business Fellows Program gives motivated incoming freshmen an early advantage through exclusive opportunities, personalized support and a dynamic community within the KU School of Business.

As a Business Fellow, you’ll gain access to:

  • A $1,500 one‑year scholarship recognizing your academic achievement and potential
  • Priority access to exclusive short‑term international programs, providing early opportunities to explore global business perspectives

  • Cohort‑based co‑curricular experiences, including a case competition where you collaborate with peers and present solutions to business leaders

Experience and curriculum

Eligibility snapshot

  • High school senior directly admitted to KU School of Business

  • One of eight business majors indicated on KU application

  • 3.7+ HS GPA (official or unofficial)

  • ACT of 27+ or SAT of 1260+ (official test scores)

  • Completed essays as part of application
