Research

Emma Sittenauer’s research centers on consumer perceptions of both their own self and those around them, as well as how these perceptions change within digital contexts. This focus leads her to consider research questions in the areas of personal identity, impression formation, communication norms, and the effects of digital media. Her research has been published in the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, as well as a special issue on Consumer Psychology in Sustainability.
