John Plumleigh

As a master’s in business analytics student, John Plumleigh believes data is the foundation of innovation and strategic leadership. After transferring to KU in 2022, he completed a Bachelor of Science in finance and the Jack Lockton Certificate of Insurance, laying the groundwork for a career at the intersection of finance and analytics.

Plumleigh's academic journey has been shaped by resilience, growth, and a commitment to mastering the tools and techniques that turn complex data into meaningful insight. Through hands-on experience with platforms like Microsoft Excel and R, he has developed the analytical skills needed to thrive in asset management and investment strategy. He is excited to leverage the Master’s in Business Analytics program to pursue his short-term goal of joining a financial firm and his long-term aspiration of becoming a leader in the industry.
