Biography

Prior to joining the University of Kansas School of Business, Dr. Lana Scroggins spent 20 years in industry as a tax professional. During grad school, she taught financial accounting at AIB in Des Moines, Iowa, and realized that teaching would eventually be her calling. Most recently she taught managerial accounting at Park University as an adjunct professor in the MBA program. Scroggins loves to teach, and she loves the interaction with students. She feels it is important to help students learn and to help facilitate the transition from academia to the real world. She is also very passionate about her research on DEI within accounting, business, and finance.

Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, going to the movies with her family, and traveling.
