Biography —
Rachel Green attended the University of Kansas for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. She started her career at the Kansas City office of KPMG. She began as an external auditor for a variety of clients and industries, including aerospace, manufacturing and transportation. Green later transitioned to the director of campus recruiting, where she hired all of the interns and full-time staff for the Kansas City office. After four years at KPMG, she left to become a lecturer at KU’s School of Business. She currently leads the Accounting Scholars program, teaches financial accounting to undergraduate students, advises accounting students and leads the accounting student organization, Beta Alpha Psi.
Green lives in Prairie Village with her husband, three daughters and beloved dog.
She loves teaching students how to become problem solvers and helping them gain confidence in their knowledge as a business student. She truly values every relationship created and says they are inspiring to her.
Fun fact: Green grew up in a small town most of her life, then moved to Kansas City halfway through high school and believes it was one of the most fun times for her and her family. It made her appreciate a good challenge.
