Biography —
Shun Dong is a doctoral candidate in Analytics, Information and Operations at the University of Kansas School of Business.
His research focuses on statistical and machine learning methods, optimization, and their applications in business analytics, with particular interests in nonparametric and semiparametric modeling, predictive analytics, finance, and risk management. His current work develops methodological approaches for corporate default prediction, cost-aware feature selection, asymmetric classification, and data-driven decision making. He also has teaching experience in database management systems, data mining, machine learning, statistics, and quantitative methods.
Before joining the University of Kansas, he earned graduate degrees in statistics, mathematics, and business administration.
