Executive Jason “Jay” Meschke received the 2024 KU School of Business Distinguished Alumni Award in recognition of his dedication to business excellence, community service and commitment to KU.

Meschke earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1980 and his MBA in 1982, both from KU. He is the president of CBIZ EFL Associates and CBIZ Talent & Compensation Solutions.

In his role, Meschke has completed more than 800 successful senior-level searches spanning several industries. His achievements during his 30-year history in the executive search field place him in the top 1% of search consultants in the U.S. He serves on the business school’s Dean’s Advisory Board, and he is immediate past chairman of the Enterprise Center of Johnson County, a venture development organization. Meschke also holds a senior adviser role with Star Mountain Capital, a New York City-headquartered private equity/private credit firm.
