Course Petitions

This petition request form should only be used when petitioning for enrollment in a course within the KU School of Business. School of Business courses include the following prefixes: ACCT, BBA, BE, BLAW, BUS, DSCI, ENTR, FIN, IBUS, IST, MGMT, MKTG, and SCM. Additionally, pre-requisite courses taken at other institutions will only be considered if students earned a grade of "C-" or higher. Courses in which a student earned less than a "C-" will not be accepted as pre-requisites. This petition is not for transferring business courses into KU (see below).

 

Special petitions needing faculty approval

Students are advised to meet with a business school academic advisor prior to filling out and turning in this petition form.

 

Transfer Credit Substitution Request

Please note: students are only able to use transferred business courses to fulfill degree requirements if they earned a grade of “C-“ or higher. Courses in which a student earned less than a “C-“ will not be considered.

Study Abroad Course Approval Request

This form is for current University of Kansas students who are planning to study abroad and wish to get courses approved for credit. Please use this only when submitting course approvals for classes within the KU School of Business including the following prefixes: ACCT, BBA, BE, BLAW, BUS, DSCI, ENTR, FIN, IBUS, IST, MGMT and SCM.

The Office of Study Abroad can assist you with finding syllabi for courses abroad you wish to get approved.
