As a full-time MBA student, you’ll begin your education in the fall semester. Know your deadline and plan ahead so you have plenty of time to take the GMAT and provide all necessary documentation. The priority scholarship deadline is Jan. 15. Review the checklist below and get started on your application now. You will be automatically considered for scholarships once you’ve completed your application.

Admission process

To apply to the KU full-time MBA program, students must complete the online application through the Business Centralized Application Service (BusinessCAS). All required materials are submitted directly through this service, and BusinessCAS will forward all application materials to your designated programs.

1. Apply online

Complete your application through BusinessCAS. Select the KU Full-time MBA program as a designated program.

2. Upload documents

Upload the following required documents to your online application:

  • Personal statement
  • Current resume
  • Unofficial transcripts

3. Submit official transcripts

Official transcripts must be submitted to KU Graduate Admissions either by secure electronic transcript service via graduateadm@ku.edu or postal mail to:

4. Submit recommendations

On the online application, enter email addresses for two recommenders. After you’ve submitted your application, we’ll send them an email requesting they complete a recommendation form for you.

5. Submit GMAT or GRE scores

Take the mandatory Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). It’s not necessary to submit scores before beginning the application process. Your file will be reviewed as soon as we receive your scores. Register here.

6. Submit English proficiency for non-native speakers

Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proof of English proficiency before gaining admission to a graduate program. Learn more about the KU English proficiency requirements for admission through Graduate Studies.

Application deadlines

  • Domestic student deadline: July 1 (Application term: Sept. 1 - July 1)

  • International student deadline May 1: (Application term: Dec. 2 - May 1)

  • Priority deadline for scholarship consideration: Jan. 15
