Official transcripts must be mailed directly from your undergraduate institution to the Office of Graduate Studies, 213 Strong Hall, 1450 Jayhawk Blvd., Lawrence, KS 66045. You can also deliver a sealed official transcript in person to the Admissions Office in Lawrence or the Edwards Campus.

Some universities (including KU) offer official, secure electronic transcripts, which should be sent from the degree-granting university directly to KU Graduate Admissions (graduate@ku.edu). In your application, upload the receipt verifying the official transcript. The receipt should list the processing date and mailing address.

On the online application, enter email addresses for two recommenders. After you’ve submitted your application, we’ll send them an email requesting they complete a recommendation form for you.

Take the mandatory Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). It’s not necessary to submit scores before beginning the application process. Your file will be reviewed as soon as we receive your scores. Register here.

TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for international students. If you received a baccalaureate degree (or higher) from an accredited U.S. institution of higher education, or from an institution whose medium of instruction is English, this requirement is waived.
