Biography

Naga Sethuraman is an assistant professor whose research program examines how firms can harness disruptive technologies and design innovation processes for competitive advantage and societal benefit. He employs a diverse toolkit of analytics methods — econometrics and causal inference, optimization and game theory, and machine learning/AI — to provide actionable insights for strategic and operational decision-making. His research spans technology strategy with emerging innovations like 3D printing and autonomous vehicles, as well as socially responsible innovation focusing on the impact of diverse R&D teams. His methodological expertise, combined with seven years of industrial R&D experience at General Motors where he contributed multiple trade secrets and a patent, positions him to bridge academic rigor with practical business impact.
