Biography

Sam Azzaro has lived across the Midwest throughout their life. They received their Bachelor of Fine Arts with a certificate in diversity leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2019. Azzaro went on to continue their education at the University of Kansas and received their Master of Science in Education in higher education administration in 2021.

During their time as a KU student, Azzaro served as the public relations chair for the Higher Education Student Association. Previous roles for Azzaro include area director in Carleton College's Residence Life Department and as a complex director for KU Student Housing. Currently, Azzaro serves as the director of marketing for the Coalition of Sexuality and Gender Identities within ACPA – The American College Personnel Association. 

In their free time, Azzaro is heavily involved with the Lawrence art community and is represented by the Art Love Collective.

M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration, University of Kansas
BFA in Studio Arts, with a certificate in Diversity Leadership, University of Wisconsin - Whitewater
