Important changes to School of Business ceremonies this spring

Allen Fieldhouse, which previously has hosted the school's spring ceremonies, will not be available in May because of renovations. The School of Business will host two ceremonies at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena to accommodate and recognize its undergraduate and graduate degree candidates.

To ensure adherence to the arena's capacity, tickets will be required for all guests at the KU School of Business' Spring 2024 Graduation Recognition Ceremonies. Ticketing prevents guests from being denied entry due to capacity constraints.

Degree candidates were required to register for one of the ceremonies by Friday, April 12, in order to attend graduation and to receive information about claiming guest tickets.

  • Each registered degree candidate will be allotted up to four guest tickets.
  • Additional guest tickets may be available, contingent upon the number of attending degree candidates. Additional tickets are not guaranteed.

School of Business degree candidates should monitor their KU email inboxes for graduation-related information sent from bschoolgraduation@ku.edu. Degree candidates who have registered for a ceremony should expect guest-ticket emails to come from Kansas Athletics.

Key School of Business dates and deadlines

  • March 28: Degree candidates received ceremony registration link, sent to their KU email address

Ticketing also prevents guests from being denied entry due to capacity constraints.

Each degree candidate who has registered for a ceremony will be allotted up to four guest tickets.

Additional guest tickets may be available, though not guaranteed, contingent upon the number of registered degree candidates at each ceremony.

Degree candidates who successfully registered for a ceremony will receive an email at 9 a.m. Monday, April 29, to claim up to four guest tickets through the Kansas Athletics ticketing system. Students should follow the link in the April 29 email to electronically claim their allotted guest tickets.

Students also should review these step-by-step instructions (PDF) about how to create, sign into, or link their student accounts on the Kansas Athletics website ahead of claiming their tickets.

  • Each degree candidate will be able to claim guest tickets only for their respective ceremony (either only the 11 a.m. ceremony or only the 2 p.m. ceremony).
  • If tickets remain after the initial ticket-claim process, degree candidates who indicated an interest in additional guest tickets during the ceremony-registration process will receive an email on Friday, May 3. Any additional guest tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

All guest tickets will be digital.

The School of Business ceremonies will use reserved seating, rather than general admission seating. Reserved seating allows the school to accommodate more guests at each ceremony while ensuring adherence to the arena's capacity.
