- Interview preparation
- Internship and job search advice
- Networking strategies and LinkedIn
- Managing multiple employment offers
- Salary negotiation
- Relocation strategies
- Mapping a career management strategy
Students have the option to meet virtually. Appointments cannot be scheduled via email. Any students who arrive more than 10 minutes late to their scheduled appointment will be asked to reschedule.
Curriculum Coordinators and Lecturers
The Business Professional Development Program's curriculum coordinators and lecturers help Business Jayhawks keep their career goals on track and design their future. Students gain an advantage in the competitive job market by getting early exposure to career concepts and enriched opportunities for professional development, all led by the curriculum coordinators and lecturers.
Program Specialists and Administrative Support
Our administrators manage employer, student and faculty experiences with the Business Professional Development Program. They are essential to operations, handling visits, events, student staff, back-end processing and employer relations. These specialists ensure all policies and plans are executed promptly and to a high standard.
Area Industry Mentors (AIMs)
AIMs provide deepened advice and strategy for their designated academic major(s). They broaden student networks, help student’s narrow down a field of focus within an industry and identify key skills to showcase to employers. They are a perfect mentor for the student who is moderately sure of their career interests but seeking more in-depth advice in a specific field. AIMs frequently teach within their academic area and instruct sections of the Business Professional Development Program curriculum.
